Following my awkward (and unnerving) travel hiatus, I've unleashed a flurry of trip planning these past couple of weeks. First on deck is the transatlantic voyage on QM2 for the second year in a row (funny enough, on the exact same dates as last year!). Then a short back-and-forth to Seattle, and then... oh yes... FRANCE!
Just a month or so ago I was daydreaming about going back to the Dordogne area, and also Fontevraud. Well, that's my last trip of 2017! Spending New Year's Eve with friends in the Loire, then spending a few extra days in Beynac. Heaven!
To start the year right, I have two quick trips, two weeks apart, to Singapore. That used to be my least favorite route (as described in a previous post) but United kindly stopped the madness and instead of the grueling IAD-NRT-SIN journey, it's now IAD-SFO-SIN. Still long - which I don't mind - but one domestic, one international leg is much easier.
Dust is off the passport, and bags need to be packed. Globetrotting life is awesome.
