That is the question. As I prepare for the next adventure - 3 weeks down under - I'm contemplating hiking one or more national parks in Tasmania. Logistics involved: overnight or multi-day hikes would require camping gear (which I am NOT lugging around Australia for 3 weeks), camp food (bleh!) and a level of fitness that is, shall we say, a tiny bit more than I can handle right now. So, day trips. Still need some gear, but that's manageable. Luggage can stay in a hotel. BED. Can't emphasize that one enough. Still need to pack hiking boots, jacket, and daypack. Like I said, manageable. It looks like I'm all out of excuses. Hiking in Tasmania. Yay.
